The caution of the girl certainly
Was understandable, although
Most were completely oblivious to
The potential danger lurking in the city.It took only a single gentle shake
To cause the inspector to stir —-
She wasn’t a light sleeper, but as
Cautious as she was, it was a
Wonder that she had been able to
Fall asleep in the first place.❝ ——-Oh, may I help you? ❞

█{{✰}}██ With dangers for now fading from the present matters, she woke her yet she didn’t have a plausible reason for doing so other than to help her keep sharp. This city seemed likely to tear someone apart with no rhyme or reason just like how home would have done for her; any newcomers or those who fell behind would be fortunate to catch up and survive or die while trying to push forward. It was nothing that isn’t abnormal given dog eat dog was a normal circumstance in either place.
The inspector of course would need an answer, wouldn’t she from this child? Yes, she realized that upon slowly shaking her head. She didn’t need help, she only wanted to keep someone from meeting an untimely demise with ever lurking danger in this place, but she wasn’t among the danger or really apart of whatever things were going on here. The shooter is only a newcomer after all.
“…Not the talkative type, hm?” Lotte rose from his chair and took his time approaching the girl before him, his brow furrowed in frustration. He stared at her, she seemed rather…pitiful, in a way — being drenched, cold, and with a strange deep scar on her side. Lotte was a blunt man, but even he could feel sorry for others — with that in mind, he softened his expression a bit and spoke more gently.
"….I am a very busy man, you see. I apologize, but if you have business with Sector Seven, it will have to be directed towards other members of the staff, or wait until tomorrow. Do you understand?”

★—— Her not being talkative was an understatement, she rarely did speak to others and this was no exception. At least, until she idly wondered if holding her tongue would be a fantastic decision for the most part about her current situation. It can’t quite hurt her to try, knowing that she would need to at some point or another. ”… Sector Seven?“ Her tone tinged in monotone, not a single hint of what one may call emotions either which could lead one to wonder how poor her understanding of them could be.
This aside, she never really had bothered attempting to learn of this area she had wandered into previously. Not until now, her questions were kept silent; possibly from little desire to try communicating with others.
